Rockschool Grade 6 Vocals

The examiner will play you a four bar melody on the I, IV, V and VIm chords. You may chose between a higher pitched or lower pitched test (regardless of the vocalist on the recorded example). The higher pitched test is in the key of C – all of my examples are in this key. Tempos can vary from 90 – 120 bpm.

You will need to harmonise a 3rd or 4th above the notes sung. You have two practise run throughs and a final third ‘real’ time. I have included a fourth playthrough with the answer sung to check your answer.
