Sky Full of Stars

This began life as part of a massed choir project for Bexley Music. We needed a song that could be sung by the secondary choir, with simple bits added in from the primary choir. Sky Full of Stars was chosen before we realised there isn’t a chorus, so no easy line for the primary choir to sing. I decided to add in the beginning of Yellow, as it also referenced stars. Thus was born my favourite arrangement to date. The younger children repeated the ‘Look at the stars’ line throughout the piece, with the secondary choirs joining them during the instrumental sections.

I have taken it further and arranged the mash up for 7 part a cappella. It is not yet on sale, but watch this space (contact me directly if you are interested in purchasing either the orignal SAB and piano, or SSAATBB a cappella version!

Sky Full of Stars, sung at Bexley Festival of Music 2023, starts at 1hour 6mins 15 seconds
